Ms. Samatha Kumari Senerath, a university graduate from Morathota, beat nine other finalists at the Shell LiveWire "Young Business Startup Awards" ceremony in Colombo last week, to clinch the top prize. The young entrepreneur launched her own small business "Neo Lanka Potters", while waiting for a job. The company produces a variety of products with clay. Senerath comes from a family of seven, all university graduates. Her brother, friends and neighbours are employed in the business.
