The
story of a brave new woman

‘Sanda Hiru Tharu’ is a story of a brave young woman,
who successfully resolves a family crisis and finds love and fulfilment
in her life. Sadhali, Hiranya and Tharaka are sisters of one family.
Their father is a principal. They spend their time as a family happily.
When Sadhali gets a job in town then everything starts getting changed.
Sadhali
starting an affair with Malinga, a married man becomes pregnant.
Malinga abandons her. When her father comes to know it he chases
Sadhali away from home and suffers a fatal heart attack. Consequently,
her mother develops a mental trauma.
Meanwhile
Hiranya faces all these troubles alone. She encourages her younger
sister (Tharaka’s) to continue with her education. When Mayuri
her father’s sister and Kamalasiri, her son tries to grab
the property left them by her father, Hiranya does her best to prevent
it while providing her mother with the necessary treatment.
Nipuna,
the son of her father’s friends helps. Aravinda, Nipuna’s
friend a well-known doctor, undertakes the responsibility of treating
the mother. Aravinda develops a strong attraction to Hiranya but
she doesn’t respond. When Sadhali decides to return home Hiranya
doesn’t accept her.
Once
again there’s a conflict situation. Now Nipuna’s compassion
is developed into love for Hiranya. Nipuna and Aravinda quarrel.
Thereafter Aravinda tries to imply Nipuna that Hiranya is fond of
him. Then, Kamalasiri uses various strategies to stop Aravinda and
Nipuna, coming to Hiranya.
Meanwhile,
the mother is cured. Hiranya sees all her expectations fulfilled.
How will Kamalasiri get his uncle’s property? Who will win
courageous Hiranya’s heart? What will happen to Hiranya’s
mother who is mentally ill? Who will help this family in this situation?
