UNP vows to safeguard parliament
Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday declared that the UPFA was attempting strategically to sabotage parliament proceedings and paralyse Parliament, but the joint opposition would continue to safeguard democracy.

Addressing Central Province UNP candidates Mr. Wickremesinghe said the behaviour of some UPFA MPs in parliament in recent week was outrageous.
