Here it comes!
By L. Abeynaike
The day is a Monday. The sixth day of the month of September 2004. According to the Lanka Ephemeris and Almanac, an important planetary change is to take place at exactly 05.01 hours, which is said to cause upheavals and disturbances in the lives of many on this earth. The planet responsible is none other than Saturn or Senasuru.

Saturn is the most feared and respected planet of the universe. Therefore its movements are closely watched and monitored by astrologers all over the world. No human being can claim immunity from its evil effects because at some stage of man's life, confrontation with Saturn is inevitable. Saturn is a slow mover, in fact the slowest of the known planets.

It remains in a House or Sign for 2½ years and it takes 30 years to traverse the entire zodiac; which comprises 12 signs or rasies. The very fact that it remains in one sign or rasie for a long time means that its ill effects will last for that length of time. That is why people complain that their trials and tribulations are never-ending.

Saturn's exit from Mithun Rasie, where this planet is presently stationed, and entry into Kataka Rasie on September 6, 2004, frees Mithuna folks from misery and adversity, but puts Kataka folks under Saturn's vicious control and governance.

Those born under Kataka or Cancer Lagnas are in for a torrid time, with unexpected troubles and disappointments, frivolous charges of misconduct and misappropriation of property levelled against them.

Their friends and relatives will desert them. They will have to suffer financial losses as well as material losses. Their position and station in life will be reduced without rhyme or reason. Even politicians who were once riding high will lose support and face banishment from the political arena. This debacle is the aftermath of the planetary change, which saw Saturn occupying an enemy house, making him more boisterous and belligerent. Saturn represents the working class, whose feelings against the country's rulers will be aroused, which will result in drastic changes in the political set-up of the country. This is because the Kataka Sign is the domain of the Moon, who is a deadly enemy of Saturn, thus putting him on the war path.

This chaotic situation will be further aggravated in the case of people whose Moon at birth was in Kataka. However most of these ill effects will not occur if Saturn was favourably placed in one's birth chart, with beneficial aspects from friendly planets.

Saturn, in conjunction with the Moon, plays an important role during one's lifetime. They are partners, not in progress but in devastation and annihilation of human life and property. The bad patches in one's life, generally known as Senasuru Arastakayaya, are mainly due to the Saturn/Moon combination.
