Rambukwella a rich industrialist is a depressed man because of his daughter’s marriage which she did at her own will. He therefore hands over his business to his son and goes abroad.

While Shiran (son) is in charge of the business, the union leader, Premasiri meets with an accident and is hospitalised. Shiran also conducts private classes and Premasiri’s only daughter Chamali is a student in this class. Shiran had no idea that Chamali is the union leader, Premasiri’s daughter when he falls in love with her. He takes Premasiri to a native doctor for treatment but doesn’t recognise him.

Chamali is unaware of Shiran’s background. Shiran is displeased with Chamali and is indignant when Chamali fails to attend classes due to her father’s illness and she is dismissed from classes. Chamila finds a job in a left-orientated newspaper the editor of which is Mohan.

Chamali makes it a point to expose the Rambukwella enterprises. She writes about the corruption that is taking place there. There is a strike at the Rambukwella industry and Chamali who comes to report it gives it her fullest support. Shiran then recognises her. Yet because of his love for her he takes no action.

When Rambuksella gets to know this he attacks the newspaper and buys it outright. He hates Premasiri and his daughter. Sets fire to the house and throws acid on Chamali. Does everything short of terrorising them. But the affair between Shiran and and Chamali continues but Premasiri who knew about the affair was unaware about Shiran’s identity.

Meanwhile Ashok, Rambukwella’s elder daughter’s husband meets Premasiri and discloses that Shiran is Rambukwella’s son. Premasiri is upset and calls Shiran a cheat who seeks to ruin his daughter’s life.

Meanwhile Premasiri starts a protest and gets all his demands from Rambukwella. Although Rambukwella gives in he does so to save his son from Premasiri’s daughter. Will Rambukwella who disinherited his younger daughter due to her marriage change with regard to Shiran’s marriage? The answer is in ‘Mindada’ shown on Swarnavahini every Monday at 9.30 pm from October 4.

Sunil Sri Perera handled the camera and Chamila Ratnayake edited it while music directed by Navaratne Gamage. The producer of Mindada is Ehaliyagoda Somathilaka and director is Gamini Thilakasiri.
