US Ambassador Jeffrey J. Lunstead handing out some “Californian grapes” to his Italian counterpart Salvatore Zotta, when the two met at the promotion of the world renowned variety of grapes at a supermarket in Colombo on Friday just as the UPFA government upped taxes on imported fruits. Speaking to reporters at the function, the US Ambassador said his country would continue to help in Sri Lanka’s efforts to further the peace process as well as further develop economic ties.
