Debut
for Narada Bakmeewewa
Sirasa TV’s popular ‘Rasa Risi Gee’ portfolio
has brought him fame and adulation of numberless fans, but Narada
Bakmeewewa has now been selected to make his presence felt in the
big screen.
Narada,
the Pannipitiya Dharmapala College old boy, will play his maiden
movie role in Channa Perera’ maiden film ‘Anjalika’.
Narada plays the friend of Channa in the film which is produced
by Malith Palliyaguruge. The cast includes Sanath Gunathilaka, popular
Indian actress Pooja, Anarkali, Lakshman Mendis, G.R. Perera, Maureen
Charuni and others.
“I
had never given any thought to acting and I can’t still believe
that I’ve been chosen for a film. I know that acting and television
presenting are two different areas. In the small screen, things
are somewhat instant because you can almost immediately check the
footage to watch your performance, but in the big screen I’ll
have to probably wait for a longer period to see whether I can act
and call myself an actor,” says Narada who is blessed with
a fine sense of humour. |
