'Formula Plus Sri Lanka Motor Show'
Sri Lanka Insurance joins hands with the Ceylon Motor Traders Association and the Classic Car Club of Ceylon to produce 'The Motor Show ' of the year at the BMICH from 20th -22nd of May 2005. "This will be the 5th show by CMTA since 1993 and we hope to take it to international standards" said Mr. Mana Jayawardene, President - Classic Car Club of Ceylon at a Press conference held recently in Colombo. He also added that "This show will be one of a kind with a blend of old and new cars on exhibition, and the only country in the world to have such a show". There will also be a display of vehicle accessories and vehicle related products and services.

Moreover, the Classic Car Club of Ceylon estimates that there will be around 90-100 vintage vehicles at this year's show. SLI too hopes to attract a wider public interest for its newly launched Formula Plus motor insurance policy. SLI also plans to have a stall at this motor show enabling any visitor to the show to obtain a Formula Plus policy or address any concerns they may have regarding their SLI motor insurance policy.

However, this years show sees the phasing out of the zinc stall system in favour of a motor show spread over two exhibition stalls. This is expected to give the show a much needed international flavour and will be a first for any motor show conducted in Sri Lanka, so far, and is expected to draw a widespread audience.
