‘Grand Salute’: A truly magnificent show
The talk of the town is about the show of shows that is scheduled to go on the boards with a rich and distinct flavour at the BMICH on Saturday, August 6 at 6.30 pm.

"Grand Salute" has captured the interest of entertainment lovers who are keyed up to watch a magnificent musical tribute to Vijaya Corea, veteran broadcaster and renowned showbiz personality.

'As never before' would aptly describe the unmatched line-up of artistes. The special visit of internationally famed entertainer, Alston Koch from Australia and American super starKelly Clarkson an exclusive session at this show has become a draw. To add spice to the musical menu, entertainer-extraordinary Desmond de Silva will wing his way from London to take the audience by storm. If that were not sufficient, Sunil Perera and the Gypsies will be there to offer the audience the fun and entertainment that is currently in demand. For the first time, three heavy weights - Alston Koch, Desmond de Silva and Sunil Perera - will be one stage together.

This star studded entertainment extravaganza of an unprecedented magnitude will, in addition, bring on the cream of the showbiz world comprising front liners, Annesley, Indrani, Mignonne (of Jetliners fame) Sohan, Dalreen, La Bambas, Dharmaratne Brothers, Noeline, Susil (son of M.S.Fernando) Joe 'Bee' Perera, Paul Fernando, Rajiv Sebastian, Mariazelle and Ronnie Leitch.

Harold Seneviratne will revive memories of strict tempo dance music. El Latino will provide the audience an exposition of the very latest in western dance trends. Channa Wijewardene's internationally famed dance troupe will come up 'trumps' with a colourful new presentation adorned by superior choreography providing a breathtaking audio visual phenomenon.

Presenters of the show, D R Entertainments, are taken up with the public enthusiasm which has resulted in advanced bookings already being made. One thing seems certain, Come Saturday, 6 August, all roads will lead to the Grand Salute
