ITN
goes digital
The Independent Television Network ( ITN) was the pioneer television
station dating back to the beginning of TV broadcast in Sri Lanka.
It has consistently provided its viewers immensely entertaining
programming with a unique local flavour.

tele soap such as 'Kopi Kade', with its quirky and lovable characters
have been enjoyed by families for decades. For viewers searching
for the 'shock factor', 'Atapattama' is a weekly favourite. ITN

Through
progammes such as 'Doramadalawa' with its expert discussion panels
and viewer interaction and 'Thulawa' with its cutting edge political

Today
ITN joins hands with Communiq Broadband Network Limited known as
CBNS at as they launch Sri Lanka's first Satellite Digital Video
Broadcast (DVB-S) Direct-to-Home (DTH) network.
With
the use of Satellite Digital Video Brodcast or DVB-s CBNS at it
will provide their viewers with a level of audio visual quality
previously unavailable in Sri Lanka. Therefore, when ITN 'goes digital'
viewers can enjoy all their favourite programmes enhanced by DVB-S.
An additional benefit of linking with CBNSat will be the islandwide
coverage that ITN programming will receive.
ITN
viewers will also be able to enjoy the marvellous array of channels
available through Sri Lanka's first ever Satellite TV broadcaster.
Channels such as Discovery, CNN, BBC, Pogo, Carton Network, MTV,
VHI, Nickelodeon, Raj, Raj Digital, Animal Planet, The History Channel,
National Geographic Channel, AI, AXN, Animax, Fashion TV, Reality
TV, SET, Zoom, Goal TV 1 and Goal TV2 will be available to all the
viewers of CBNSat.
Complete
sets of the equipment needed to connect to the Satellite Television
