‘Nilambare’
ready to unfold
The
cinematic version of Sujeewa Prasannarachchi's novel 'Nilambare'
will be released in EAP circuit cinemas from mid March this year.
Directed
by Kelum Palitha Mahiratne, the film is produced by Upul Jayasinghe.
Starting from miniplays 'Nelli Gedara' and 'Kande Handiya' and a
number of musical programmes for television, 'Nilambare' is the
debut directorial venture of Palitha Mahiratne.
A love story revolving around daughter of a wealthy businessman
engaged in exporting flowers and his most trustworthy servant includes
a start studded cast with Ranjan Ramanayake and Dilhani Ekanayake
playing the lead with a supporting cast of Ravindra Randeniya, Sanath
Gunatilake, Sangeetha Weeraratne, Semini Iddamalgoda, Veena Jayakody,
Ratnawali Kekunuwela, Anjula Rajapakse, Anarkalee Akarsha and Anton
Jude.
In the technical crew, Ruwan Costa handled the camera, Ravindra
Guruge edited and musical score is by Navaratne Gamage. Wasantha
Kumara Kobaweka, Ajantha Ranasinghe, Channa Jayanatha and Hemasiri
Halpita penned the lyrics to the background songs sung by Kasun
Kalhara, Uresha Ravihari, and Kingsley Peiris.
Produced
for Nilwala Films, Nilambare will be released on EAP circuit cinemas.
