‘Sandali
Saha Radika’ narrates rebirth story
'Sandali Saha Radika', a miniplay woven around the rebirth of a
young girl, is being telecast every Friday at 8.15 on ITN. Sandun
Bandara (Roshan Pilapitiya) a medical student joins his friends
on a leisure trip along with his young girlfriend Radika (Thesara
Jayawardane). In a remote village Radhika's memory is recalled when
as she sees a particular village woman and her daughter, Sandali.
Radhika,
the only daughter of Sena (Douglas Ranasinghe) and Kumari Wathulanda
(Sriyani Amerasena), has talked of her past life during her childhood.
Her story brings up clues of a murder.
The
prejudiced parents cover the story and assume their daughter has
got over the old habit after meeting her fiancé'. After returning
home from the trip Radhika gets mentally ill. Sandun, being a caring
and inquisitive young man starts investigating into the reincarnation
story of Radhika. His friend Kosala (Asela) joins him and they have
to face many adversities that come their way.
As they start communicating with a reluctant Sandali, her boyfriend
Asanka, who is a police officer gets suspicious and makes life hell
for the two young men from the City.
The
Wathulanda family arrives in the village to face more adventures.
A story of a missing six year old, 18 years ago brings back memories
to the villagers. Her moaning parents, the suspicious uncle of Sandali,
the curious son of Gamini adds goose-bumps to the story every minute.
The
Inspector of Police (Cletus) and the family doctor do their best
to help solve the mystery. Who is Sandali? Why is her mother always
tensed? What is her uncle's fear? Can Radhika be cured? Will Sanduni
and Kosala be able to return home safely? All these will be answered
at the end of 'Sandali Saha Radika'.
The
cast includes Sriyani Amarasena, Douglas Ranasinghe, Roshan Pilapitiya,
Thesara Jayawardane, Nadee Chandrasekara, Indika Ginige, Nadeeka
Gunasekara,Cletus Mendis, Asela Jayakody, Samadara Ariyawansha,
Nuluka Rekhani, Prasanna Fonseka, Gamini Jayalath and Damit Saluwodana.

by Sriyani Amarasena, the miniplay is produced by Amara Jayawardane.
Edited by Jagath Weerathunga, G. Nandasena handled the camera. Sam
Perera is the make up artiste and hair dresser.
Scripted
by Ananda Gajanayaka, Sarath Wickrema wrote the musical score. For
the background song written by Dr. Ajantha Ranasingha, Lata Walpola
rendered voice. Wasantha De Alwis is the production manager and
Aruna Weerasingha the production assistant.
