‘Mul Pituwa’ reaches milestone
The popular feature in the morning TV 'Mul Pituwa' on Swarnavahini will mark its 1000 episode on March 30. Started in July 2003, 'Mul Pituwa' created history by telecasting all seven days without any interruption since its inception.

The presenter of the programme Bandula Padmakumara said the best reward is to see all the other channels trying to copy the concept of 'Mul Pituwa'.
‘I think I have reached a milestone with this programme. It is a very responsible job and I think I have lived up to the expectations of the people. It is not just reading or introducing the news off newspapers. I always try to visualize the news item.' He said.

'With Mul Pituwa the names of journalists and cartoonists have become house hold names' he added.
