Lankan Line dancers at Dance Championships in Malaysia Winners of the National Line Dance Championships at the BDFI Dance Festival this January held at Water's Edge, left for Malaysia a few days ago. A five Member Team will vie in the Newcomer, Open, Junior and Senior categories with 10 countries in the Asia Pacific Region. The Open Line Dancing Asia Pacific Championships this year will be held at Shangri-la Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Their participation is promoted by the Ballroom Dancers' Federation International Sri Lanka, who introduced Line Dancing to Sri Lanka last year. Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports felicitated the dancers at the Ministry premises before their departure to Malaysia
