Two hour agony on Sirasa
I am writing this letter to voice my grievance on your TV programmmes, ‘Mahagedera, Wasuda, Praveena and Chitti’. I am sure there will be several others who will share my view. These four teledramas go on from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm every night five days a week. During this time period housewives are glued to the TV and the house, husband and children are neglected. They are reluctant to even answer the telephone, and are grumpy when visitors come during this time. This is causing a lot of damage to the home-front. I have heard that in Muslim homes even their prayer recitals take second place. If I may suggest, why not telecast these programes
in the afternoon from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm when it will not disrupt
the home or the family in any way. Please give this matter your
priority since this is causing a lot of displeasure in homes. |
