Charith recreates heroism in the Kokavil army camp

Young and upcoming director and scriptwriter, Charith Kiriella enters cinema with 'Uthuru Sulanga', a film on a pathetic incident during the separatist war in North East Sri Lanka.For the first time depicting a true and heroic story about a Sri Lankan Army officer, Charith is to unravel an emotional tale of a young Army Captain Saliya Aladeniya and his soldiers at Kokavil camp in Jaffna which was captured by the LTTE in 1990s.

'Working Women of the World', a critical and powerful documentary film exposing the treatment of garment production employees will be screened at French Embassy, 11 Barnes Place, Colombo 7.
 
Gangster; a woman and two different men
'Gangster', a Hindi film about a woman who is torn between her two lovers - a gangster on the run from the police and a man who promises her a decent life is now screened (with English subtitles) at the Regal Cinema Colombo.
