Brands, Blues & Change-Points on TV

Brands, Blues & Change-Points the interactive edutainment event which had its live experience at Barefoot recently and which also appears on-line as an innovative and interesting blog, with its original music, video-clips and an on-line quiz with an iPod Shuffle prize from the BT Store, received rave reviews for both versions, and has now been edited for TV to share it with a wider audience. The 45 minute TV programme will be telecast on ETV at 10 p.m. on Sunday November 19, Bates said in a statement.

Praise for the blog and the live version, which was enjoyed by BatesAsia Strategic Alliance clients, has come from all quarters. BatesAsia President Jeffrey Yu wrote “Love your Brands, Blues & Changepoints songs and web. Something you can share with your BatesAsia colleagues” while the network’s Head in Japan David Meredith commented “What you have done eclipses everything anyone else has, and is an inspiration to us all.” Matt Godfrey COO of Publicis Asia-Pacific says “This is awesome. Everyone in BatesAsia should be as inspired as you and your team” while another ex-Bates ad veteran Kiran Khalap, Founder Director of Chlorophyll commented “Fantastic.

What an idea…just the smile it spreads is worth it.”

MTI Consulting’s Head Hilmy Cader wrote to creator Nimal Gunawardene to say “A very innovative and interesting concept. I think you are one of the few who can truly merge entertainment and communication” while Ravi Fernando, Director of Corporate Branding & Strategic CSR at MAS Holdings wrote “Nimal this is your creativity at its best! The idea to educate your clients on how to use IMC is truly brilliant.”

Suren Rajanathan, Chairman/CIM Sri Lanka Region endorsed it saying “The programme was excellent.” CIM and SLIM are considering sponsoring the experience for the benefit of their members.
