Matale climate suits Kelaniya lads

Sri Dharmaloka Vidyalaya Kelaniya had to be satisfied with a first innings win over Vijaya College Matale in their under 20 inter school cricket encounter played recently at the Bernard Aluvihare Stadium in Matale.

In reply to Vijaya College first innings total 100 all out Sri Dharmalaoka made 150 all out with Sarath Gayan top scoring with 48. Nuwan Liyanapathirana with a haul of 8 wickets for 52 shone for Vijayans.

Batting second Vijaya College scored 130 all out with Roshan Wasantha making a valuable 54 and Chatura Perera 32.

Chasing a target of 81 runs in 19 overs for an outright win Sri Dharmaloka were able to score 72 for the loss of 3 wickets at close.
