Abrogate CFA, ban LTTE says JVP

The JVP condemned the attempted suicide attack on Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and said it was a clear indication that the LTTE was not interested in resolving the conflict but was carrying out its campaign for a separate state.
A JVP statement said that on the pretext of going for peace the LTTE was continuing with violence and killing civilians of all communities.

The party said restrictions should be imposed on Tiger activities to prevent them from misusing facilities provided to make international contacts. It said all opportunities for the LTTE should be reduced and the organization banned.
The JVP also called for the abrogation of the Ceasefire Agreement.
