Another foreign currency racket busted

Two Airport security guards and two Indians are being questioned by the Customs over an attempt to smuggle more than Rs. 80 million worth foreign currency out of the country, Customs officials said yesterday.

The two Indians were nabbed in the transit area following information that the two security guards had smuggled in the foreign currency and handed it over to them, Customs officials said. The four suspects have been remanded till December 6. Officials said a huge racket in the smuggling of foreign currency had been taking place regularly while only a few instances were detected.
