'Wild' jungle-girl found in Cambodia

CAMBODIA Saturday (AP) Small groups of people come and go all day, peering into the dirty, ramshackle house where Cambodia's 'jungle woman' lives with the family that is claiming her as their long-lost daughter. About 30 people gathered in this remote district in the northeastern province of Rattanakiri early Saturday morning outside the home of Sal Lou, poking their heads through the front door and peering through windows for a glimpse of the dark-skinned, skinny woman the family claims is Rochom P'ngieng, who would now be 27 years old.

Europe clears up after deadliest storm in 8 years
BERLIN, Saturday (AP) - Europeans cleared up today after the deadliest storm to hit the continent in eight years killed at least 47 people, caused transport havoc and tore down power lines. Workers hauled away fallen trees and repaired electricity supplies, while trains started moving again after a near-total shutdown in parts of the continent during Thursday night's storm.
 
Castro battling for his life, says Chavez
RIO DE JANEIRO, Saturday (AFP) - Ailing Cuban leader Fidel Castro is fighting for his life, his friend and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said. “He's back in Sierra Maestra and locked in a battle for his life,” said Chavez, referring to Castro's legendary guerrilla war that toppled Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista in 1959 and ushered in his Cuban Revolution.
