Wedding packages to mark first anniversary

The 'Peak Residence' in Kandy celebrates its first anniversary this month.Nestled at the highest point in the city off Upper Lake road, Peak Residence offers new package for newly weds to celebrate the anniversary.

With a new addition of modern banquet Hall, hotel is now geared to take functions up to 250 pax.

Within a very short period of time, the hotel has managed to gainpopularity as one of the best honeymoon destinations in the hills. This is mainly due to the hard labour of its Manager Anuruddha de Silva.

Wedding package for the season includes complimentary room onB/B basis, Wedding cake, oil lamp settee back for 100 to 150 pax and complimentary room on F/B basis, wedding cake, settee, studio screen, live music and one night stay(room only) at their Nuwara Eliya Hotel for over 200 covers.

Located on a beautiful peak nearly 5400 feet above the sea level, hotel is a place for the best view of the Bogambara ground, when the action is on.

Peak Residence has 14 fully appointed rooms, all with an aerial view. 'We promote our hotel as a honeymoon destination and within this short period, we have catered to over 35 weddings and number of honeymooners from around the country' said Anuruddha.

Cuisine is one of the biggest attractions of the hotel. Peak Residence is blessed with a talented Chef Nihal Piyaratne, whose culinary adventure is popular in Colombo too.

Western, Eastern, Sri Lankan, Indian, Chinese and Maldivian dishes are some of the popular culinary delights at the hotel.
'Our most popular package is takeaway meal for Rs.150/-. It is called 'Chef's Special pack'. Maldivian is anew thing for Sri Lankan palette and it is getting popular' said Chef Nihal.

All rooms are equipped with IDD telephones, piped music, safety locker and a mini bar. The Peak Residence is also a centre for conferences and meetings in Kandy.
