Royal vs. Sarkozy: The French go to poll to choose new president
PARIS, Saturday (AFP) - France was poised to start choosing its new president today, after campaigning ended for the first round of the election and the last polls showed right-wing favourite Nicolas Sarkozy maintaining his lead over Socialist Segolene Royal.
 
New proposals unveiled for UN reforms
UNITED NATIONS, Saturday (Reuters) - The U.N. General Assembly unveiled proposals that would send plans to expand the elite U.N. Security Council back to the drawing board and instead enlarge the elite body on a temporary basis.
 
Harry Potter poison killed Woolmer, suspect identified
KINGSTON, LONDON, Saturday-- The Bob Woolmer murder mystery has become more intriguing with claims that traces of poison was found in his body during toxicology tests and a suspect has been identified from the CCTV footage gathered from his hotel. At least a couple of British dailies said that toxicology tests have found poison in the Pakistan cricket coach’s body.
