Yaddehige seeking to exit from RPC

 
Dr. Sena Yaddehige, the UK-based Sri Lankan entrepreneur who burst into the Colombo business scene some years back and ended up striking a deal that led to a take over of Richard Pieris and Co (RPC), may have taken on more than he can chew.

Maliban Biscuit Manufactories Ltd and Hemas Holdings Ltd (HHL) on Monday announced that both companies are exploring the possibilities of a strategic alliance – confirming an exclusive report in The Sunday FT the previous day.

 

Workers at Coca Cola call off 3-day strike

The three-day strike by 250 workers attached to the Coca Cola International Company in Sri Lanka which paralysed the production of 40,000 cases per day has been called off after negotiations between trade union representatives and the management on Friday, a senior official of the company told The Sunday Times FT.

 

Telekom Malaysia selling five percent of Dialog

Telecom Malaysia, majority shareholder of Dialog Telekom is planning to sell five percent of its 87.5 percent stake in Dialog to liquidate the company’s share concentration in order to attract more foreign investors.
