Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association Office Bearers
Former sports star Shivantha Vivekanandan was elected President of the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association while the founder President Mrs. K.D. Anula Ranjani was elected the chairperson at the Annual General Meeting held recently.
A past student of the school for the Deaf, Ratmalana and Maryline High School, Kollupitiya, Shivantha Vivekanandan was a good sportsman and a brilliant student. He won many awards in sports and studies. He represented the Deaf Recreation Club, Rajagiriya in athletics, cricket and table tennis and won many trophies, medals and certificates. Presently Shivantha Vivekanandan is the vice chairman of the Asia Deaf Cricket Federation and the President, Deaf School Past Pupils Association -- The school for the deaf, Ratmanala.
