Doctor in the dock!

Indu Dharmasena’s new comedy “Here For a Fit-on” will go on the boards at the Lionel Wendt on July 13, 14 and 15. Not only is Dr. Premjith Suwadena an excellent doctor, he is also a casanova. He feels that his wife suspects that he meets his girlfriends who pose off as his patients.

So, the doctor convinces his friend, Maithri Sri Hadhakarana (a famous dress designer) to let him use his house cum workshop, to meet up with his latest fling, Sumi. The doctor arrives at Maithri’s house to find the dress designer’s assistant, Bandu, there. Before he can cancel the rendezvous, his girlfriend arrives followed by another of his flings, Anjana. Then Anjana’s cousin, Gloria, walks in looking for her.

One lie leads to another as further complications follow in this rib-tickling comedy. Indu Dharmasena plays the randy doctor. Bandu is played by Jehan Bastians. Michelle Herft plays Sumi while Anjana is brought to life by Sanwada Abeysirigunawardena. Chithranga Kariyawasan, Abbasali Rozais, Sanjana Selvarajah, Neidra Bastians, Gehan Cooray and Ishkey Irshard make up the rest of the cast.

Tickets priced at Rs. 800, Rs. 600, Rs. 350 (reserved) and balcony Rs. 200 (unreserved) are available at the Wendt from July 2.
