A new production of ‘Kapuwa Kapothi’, Dr. Ediriweera Sarachchandra and A.P. Gunarathna's translation of acclaimed Russian author Nikolai Gogol's comedy "Marriage" is to go on the boards with a new cast.

The first show of this new production will be staged on July 7 and 8 at 3.30 pm and 7 pm at Lionel Wendt theatre, Colombo. The stage decor of "Kapuwa Kapothi" is by Lionel Bentherage and the cast comprises well known artistes Wijaya Nandasiri, Deepani Silva, Sarath Kulanga, Ariyaratne Kaluarachchi, Lalith Rajapakse, Uthpala Suriyarachchi, Kumari Attanayake, Ravindra Ariyaratne and Upamali Ranathunga.

Costume creation by Lalitha Sarachchandra while lighting is by Upali Weerasinghe and the stage management is by Dharmapala Bogoda and Ravindra Ariyaratne. The new production and direction of "Kapuwa Kapothi" is by Lalitha Sarachchandra..
