Macbertan Ltd gets ISO 14001 certification

Macbertan Ltd was recently awarded the ISO 14001 certification by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) for being environmentally friendly, the company said.

Macbertan is a joint venture between Mclarens Holdings Ltd and Alliance Finance Company Ltd in 1997 and McFoil, the pioneer and a market leader of the heat insulation product category in Sri Lanka is one of the company’s strongest brands alongside their other successful brands, McFoam and McWrap.

Dr. A.R.L. Wijesekara, Chairman of SLSI, whilst congratulating Macbertan Ltd emphasized the value of this achievement saying that it affirms to society that the organization is mindful about the environment one lives in.

He also stressed that any ISO certification is a powerful management tool in an organization capable of inspiring significant changes in the management system.
