Anyone could come and go: President
By Pushpakumara Jayaratne
President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday declared that any one had the right to join the government or leave the government, but he would carry on with the mandate given by the people until his term was completed.
Addressing a massive party rally in Kurunegala a day after CWC members quit his government, the President said he would uphold the constitution and complete his term as the president of this country.
He said the government’s foremost task was to defeat terrorism and the LTTE.
The President said politics should not be used to settle personal grudges.
