Myanmar PM to visit Sri Lanka

Myanmar’s acting Prime Minister will make a State visit to Sri Lanka from August 27 to 29. During his stay Lt. Gen. Chin Shen will hold talks with President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayake among others.

On August 28 he will officially hand over to Mr. Wickramanayake in Kandy two tuskers gifted to the Dalada Maligawa. The two animals arrived in Sri Lanka several weeks ago. Premier Shen will also be a special guest at the Kandy Perahera this year.
