Helping hand VERTISTMENTS

Recently a group of actors and theatre-lovers headed to Hambantota to work with a very enthusiastic group of students from Hambantota, Tissamaharama and Suriyawewa who were united by their shared loss due to the December 26 tsunami. Over the last three years, these children have moved on to become peer leaders within their regional youth communities through the StageHands Project.

New beginnings

An abundance of talent, mature vocal contributions and the one aim to be par excellent – this would possibly be the best way to describe the newest four-part male choral group in town. The Saints, will be making their debut performance in the near future, bringing to you a range of renditions belonging to various genres of music. They are scheduled to take the stage on October 12 and 13 at 7.30pm, at The Russian Cultural Centre, with The Renaissance, a beautiful evening of music by the choir as well as some enchanting performances by guest artistes.

Nightmare’s end
You've been dreaming about this day your whole life. You want everything to be just perfect. The dress, the church décor, the choir, the reception hall, the music, the food, the photographs… sigh… by the time the big day approaches you'd be too exhausted to even enjoy. Dream day??? Nightmare is more like it… unless of course you had some help…
