It was a gala evening of song, dance and entertainment for the crowds which flocked to the Elphinstone Hall last Wednesday when the much loved ‘Superstars’ showcased their versatility once again through a spectrum of songs ranging from the golden melodies of yesteryear to contemporary hits.

‘Kamal Samaga Gee Tharu” featuring Sirasa Superstars Pradeep Rangana, Surendra Perera, Amila Nadeeshani, Nadini Premadasa and Gamini Susiriwardene, among many others along with well known Kamal Addaraarachchi had the audience spellbound. The crowd was mesmerized by the young and versatile Pradeep Rangana who gave a passionate performance.

There was an immense response to his unique ‘Ragadari’ presentation. Surendra Perera, who walked on to the stage amidst huge applause, also gave an exceptional performance forging a strong rapport with the audience.

Female stars such as Amila Nadeeshani and Nadini Premadasa added variety while Gamini Susiriwardene was praised not just for his musical talent but also his sense of humour.

All this coupled with Kamal Addaraaarachchi’s dynamic performance made for a memorable evening.
