Beauty and serenity of the lotus

Shanila de Alwis, a Fine Arts student of the Malaysian Institute of Art in Malaysia where she was awarded a gold medal for Best Fine Art Student of 2003 will hold her fourth exhibition of paintings at the Gandhara Gallery in Colombo.

Inspired by the beauty and serenity of the lotus flower which blooms above muddy pools of water, this collection presents a spectacular blend of colours that can stir any imagination. Shanila’s exhibition will run from December 9- 14.
