Pera Singers sing out the Christmas cheer

The Peradeniya Singers will present Concertaid VI – 2007 Christus Natus Est at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on December 22 at 7 p.m. This concert will be in aid of the Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation. The choir’s repertoire has a huge range from plainsong and Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Brahms and Scriabin to folksongs of many lands and modern works.

“The Peradeniya Singers are a vibrant choir with an inspirational conductor in Bridget Halpé ” says Antonietta Notariello ARAM, ABRSM Examiner. They regularly introduce Lankan audiences to modern and challenging masterpieces by composers now making an impact in the music world.

The programme for the forthcoming concert, includes a wide range of items from works of the 16th century to the present day.
