Hemasiri starts to ‘Duplicate'

The Muhurath ceremony was held in Colombo recently for the latest film 'Duplicate' by veteran director Hemasiri Sellapperuma.
Popular actress Anarkalli Aakarssha will play the female lead opposite newcomer Sanka Prasad Peiris in 'Duplicate', which is based on a story by Sellapperuma.

'Duplicate' is produced by Ananda Madduma Hewage, S. Abeywickrama and Janaka Perera. A large gathering participated at the Duplicate muhurath ceremony, which was held in Colombo recently. Besides Anarkalli and Sanka, the other characters will be played by Vijaya Nandasiri, Kusum Renu, Anusha Damayanthi, Sujith Ratnayake, Rodney Warnakula, Anton Jude, Wilson Karu, Teddy Vidyalankara, Sarath Silva, Gnananga Gunawardana and other artistes.

K.D. Dayananda will handle the camera, Sarath Wickrama the music, Praveen Jayaratne the editing while Lanka Prasad Peiris will assist in the direction. Duplicate is a comedy that will be filmed in locations here and abroad. Hemasiri Sellapperuma's newest film 'Sanjana' which was produced by Ananda Madduma Hewage is awaiting release soon.
