Sri Lankan’s business book a best seller

NEW YORK - A book authored by a Sri Lankan international business consultant, currently living in the United States, has topped the best-seller list for business books in India. Titled ‘Adventures in Management,’ the 224-page publication was number one on a list compiled by Business Standard, a well known business journal in India.

Kenneth Abeywickrama, who authored the book, was until recently a consultant working for the World Bank, the UN Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), USAID, the Geneva-based International Trade Centre and UNCTAD. Abeywickrama's work also spans a wide range of assignments in Sri Lanka-- as a manager in the nationalised Port Corporation,Lever Brothers, and chief executive officer of the State Timber Corporation of Sri Lanka.Described as an insider’s view of corporate management in developing countries, the book was published by Sage Publications of New Delhi.
