‘Jeewithaya Lassanai’ scores triple century

'Jeewithaya Lassanai' the popular teledrama telecast on all five weekdays on Swarnavhini , reaches its 300th episode. Directed by Ravindra Wijeyratne, the teledrama stars Irangani Serasinghe, Somasiri Alakolanga, Kusum Perera, Jagath Chamila, Lahiru Mudalige, Gayan Wickrematilake, Niroshan Wijeytilake, Nadeesha Alahapperuma, Malani Weeramuni, Umayangana Wickramasinghe, Deepani Silva, Danushka Ratnayake, Janak Premalal, Sampath Sri Rohana, Alfred Perera, Ayomi Shanika, Wijeyratne Warakagoda and Tharanga Dissanayake.

Celebrating the screening of the 250th episode, 'Jeewithaya Lassanai' team comprising both cast and crew visited Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama recently. The team joined by representatives from Swarnavahini and the teledrama producer Susila Mendis of Susila production spent the day with the soldiers who are under treatment. The celebration also included a musical show held with the participation of war heroes.

The story in 'Jeewithaya Lassanai' narrates around a father, Manuwansha, a musician who has seven children with the names of seven melodies. He is determined to take them on a long journey in the music industry. It revolves around a father and his above intention, the seven children searching for independence, and a loving mother who is caught in between, silently struggling to protect her family.

This teledrama provides the Sri Lankan audience with a new experience and it is the first time in the Sri Lankan history of tele-industry, an all five-day series is created involving only Sri Lanakan artistes.

Camera direction by Jayantha Ranasinghe, art direction by Deepthi Mangalasoma, editor Saman Ariyaratne, the script for the drama is written by a team of writers including Gayan Kavinda, Asanka Nanayakkara, Anoma Wijeywardena, Chathura Adhikari, Suneth Warnasuriya and Lal Wasantha. Music composition by Rohana Weerasinghe, Navaratne Gamge and Kapila Pugalaarachchi, music is directed by Rohana Weerasinghe. Executive producer of the drama is Hema Nalin Karunaratne.
