‘The Cloves’ in town

‘The Clove’, probably the hottest rock band in the Maldives at the moment, will be seen in action, absolutely live, right here in Colombo. Their sizzling hot sounds will be heard on February 2’at the Bishops' College Auditorium.

Blast off time is 6.30 p.m.‘The Clove’, comprising some of the best available musicians in the Maldives, made their debut last August in the UK. Their UK concert was well received and many in the audience were highly impressed with the singing capabilities of the group's lead vocalist, Rittey. Some even referred to him as the new 'reggae king'.

Nine-year-old child prodigy drummer, Thotho, was the cynosure of the crowd in Britain as he banged away on a huge set of drums, performing with The Clove as a guest artiste. This fantastic line-up will all be here to entertain local music lovers with the hits of Maroon 5, James Blunt, Queen and of course, Bob Marley. The BIG BANG concert is going to be an awesome event and is open to the public FREE OF CHARGE.

However, you need to collect your complimentary ticket in advance. And there are some fabulous prizes on offer on the ticket draw. Artay, the manager and promoter of The Clove, said the BIG BANG is only a prelude to bigger things to come in the near future from this dynamic aggregation.

He went on to say the concert will give Sri Lankan music lovers a taste of the sounds of The Clove, ‘And that's the reason I'm inviting all Sri Lankan music fans and reggae lovers to come over to the Bishop's College Auditorium on February 2 and join in the excitement.’ he added.
