SLADE, COL to empower farmers
The Sri Lanka Association of Distance Educators (SLADE) and The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) Vancouver Canada will join hands to empower local farmers through a workshop, which will explore the idea of using collaborative digital content development to build capacity and help farmers to develop value-added farming techniques. The workshop planned to be held from March 31 to April 2 is part of a larger initiative known as the Life Long Learning (L3) Farmer Learner project, which focuses on training project partner teams on developing suitable digital content for the overall project using WikiEducator, according to a SLADE press release.
The collaborative partner for these workshops is the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) Vancouver, Canada, an intergovernmental organization created by the Commonwealth Heads of Government to encourage the development and sharing of open learning/distance education knowledge, resources and technologies.
The Sri Lanka Association of Distance Educators (SLADE) is a body of professionals engaged in the field of distance education covering all aspects and methodologies, processes and procedures in creating, providing and evaluating distance education. |
