Hoardings: Our warnings come true

The Sunday Times FT in its April 20 issue ran a comprehensive report on illegal hoardings in Colombo and how many occupy the pavements in the city which are exclusively for pedestrians and nothing else. It also raised the risks to the public as these structures fall over due to the rain and wind. This picture snapped by one of our readers shows a hoarding that collapsed last week in Kollupitiya.
