‘Help Samitha’ today

The twelve Sirasa Super Star (season two) finalists led by Pradeep Rangana will perform at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on June 1 at 6.00 pm, in aid of the 'Help Samitha' Fund.

24 year old Samitha Samanmali - a fourth year medical undergraduate of the Colombo Medical Faculty suffered a severe spinal cord injury at the BMICH on February 16 this year, shattering all hopes of this talented girl.

Today she is bedridden and it is estimated that more than 25 million rupees would be required for her long-term treatment overseas.

The event titled 'Lotus Heart' has been organized by Samitha's friends and coordinated by well-known journalist and singer Saman Priyankara Nammunige.

Marians led by Nalin Perera have also come forward to help the cause by backing music while Centigradez, Romesh-Lakshan, Teesha, Randhir and Nadeeka Chandrasekara will perform as guest artistes.
