The Defence Services Cricket Final between Sri Lanka Army and Air Force is scheduled to be held at Mutukumaru Ground Panagoda on Monday. This is part of the Defence Services Sports Competitions. This year Army is arranging all the games as the host Service. All the three services take their turn in organizing sports the festival once in three years on rotation basis.

At the last years finals Army became champions having beaten Air Force convincingly in the final. Army is lead by experienced campaigner Navantha Ratnayake. ‘Mystery’ bowler Ajantha Mendis will certainly add a different dimension to Army’s bowling attack along with Seekuge Prasanna who just missed selection for the National A Team's tour of South Africa. .
