. The under 15 inter-district under 15 cricket tournament organized by Sri Lanka Cricket and sponsored by the Prima Group will get underway at the Khettarama Stadium on Tuesday at 1 pm. Twenty-one district teams will take part in 34 matches that will be played in various parts of the country. Some of the teams that will be seen in action will be from far off places like Vavunia, Trincomalee, Monaragala and Ampara.

The preliminary rounds will be played at a provincial level with the game culminating for the final round in Colombo. Several well known dignitaries are scheduled to be present at the opening ceremony including national cricketers Chaminda Vaas and Malinda Warnapura.
