Speaker wants a national policy to put a stop to liqour use

A national policy to put an end to alcohol and liquor usage should be introduced very soon, Speaker W. J. M. Lokubandara said.

Legal advisers would be obtained from the Attorney General's Department in order to introduce the new policy, he said.

UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake said that a proposal in this regard will be brought to parliament tomorrow. .
