CIMA CFO Forum will focus on Learning's for CFO's from the recent Satyam failure

The CIMA Sri Lanka CFO forum will be held on 19 February at Trans Asia Hotel. The forum will feature a presentation by Mr. Ravi Raman, Chief Operating Officer of Oracle Financial Services BPO, India. Mr. Raman's key interests include, risk management, control design and implementation in organisations. He keenly pursues the study of various financial failures in the last 2 decades and is thus following the recent Satyam fiasco in India. Mr. Raman will speak on 'History repeats - The Satyam debacle and the lessons for the CFO's'.

Mr. Raman's deliberation will be followed by an interesting panel discussion surrounding risks, governance and control by an eminent line of business leaders; Asite Talwatte, Managing Partner, Ernest and Young, Marina Tharmaratnam, Chief Executive Officer, Union Assurance PLC and Prakash Schaffter, Managing Director, Janashakthi Insurance (Pvt) Ltd.

The CFO breakfast meetings are organized as part of CIMA's continuing endeavour to update the business community on emerging developments in the field of finance and management.
