Mahinda advance to quarter-finals

Mahinda College Galle advanced to the quarter final of the All Island Under 19 inter-school limited over tournament with an easy 190 runs win over St Patrick’s Jaffna in the pre-quarter final match played at Darley Road yesterday.

Mahinda taking first lease of the wicket made 247 for 8 in their allotted 50 overs and then bowled out St Patrick’s for a meagre 57.

Maliyadeva outclass Nalanda

Maliyadeva College Kurunegala moved in to the semi final of the All Island Under 19 limited over cricket tournament when they outclassed Nalanda by 112 runs in the quarter final encounter played at the CCC ground yesterday.

Maliyadeva batting first made a modest 224 for 9 in their allotted 50 overs and then Chamikara Edirisinghe and Dasun Madumal restricted the Nalandians to a score of 112. Maliyadeva will now meet St Joseph’s in the semi final.
