Bata-Sunday Times Most Popular School Boy Cricketer of the Year Contests 2009 - Leaders continue to stay ahead

The status quo remained at the end of count No17 of the Bata-Sunday Times Most Popular School Boy Cricketer of the Year Contests 2009, with the respective leaders consolidating their positions further.
In the Allisland contest Zahirian Isham Ghouse is in front with 18940 votes against his name and is 2052 votes ahead of Peterite Angelo Perera who has polled 16888 votes at the end of this count.

The outstation is also running hot with Krishan Wickramarachchi of Gamini MMV polling over 400 votes against closest rival S.H. Indunil Kumara of Devapathiraja Vidyalaya, Ratgama. In the International section Aadhil Niyas still enjoys a free run with 3747 votes against his name. Count 17
