The Jockey clown who was unexpectedly perched at the top of the most popular game was at his best. Some one squealed to him that the allrounder was still injured and unfit. Instead of him informing the selectors to have a look at the complaint he went to the place where the players were practicing and gave each of the other prospects a batting turn while he was watching.
Later one of the guys who had a batting turn made a request to a selector “Sir, today so and so came for practices and asked me have a turn in his presence, so if there is a change remember my name too”.
Thank god there were no changes as the secretary who now runs the show came back and took charge of the situation once again.
