Ghouse passes the magical 20,000 mark

Zahirian Isham Ghouse became the first contestant to pass the magical twenty thousand vote mark in the Bata-The Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year contests for 2009.

Ghouse who had polled 18940 votes at the last count received good support from his fans this week too get 1660 votes to finish at 20600 at the end of count number 18.

Once again the St. Peter’s allrounder Angelo Perera is in second place with 17,731 votes against his name.
In the other two contests Krishan Wickramarachchi of Gamini MMV and Aadhil Niyas of Gateway International continues to occupy the top slots.
