Former Sri Lanka cricketer and well known cricket coach Jayantha Seneviratne who was on duty as one of the national cricket selectors will be back on the field doing what he likes the most – guiding the young ones on the path of cricket.
Jayantha says coaching is an integral part of my life. I consider coaching my alma-mater Nalanda College and handling the young kids at the JS School of cricket two important things that I enjoyed very much. Seeing a young cricketer you coached turning into a national cricketer gives you immense satisfaction”.
Seneviratne began the JS School of Cricket in 1996 and conducted classes till 2007 where he had to close shop owing to his national duties as a cricket selector.
The JS School of Cricket will be re-launched on July 1 2009 at the usual venue – Bloomfield C and AC.
